Day 3- The Walk from Mount to Mount

Today, on Friday the twentieth in JERUSALEM we got off to an early start. I got up at 6 and didn't get down to breakfast 'til 7:30, the Irwins I'm rooming with had to get pretty. After some exquisite breakfast food we headed on our journey.

We started the day off on The Mount of Olives, where we could view most of the city, and all of what we were visiting today. Danny, our guide, took us through a tour of our Bibles along every stop of the way; and on The Mount of Olives we knew that where we sat Jesus had preached and one could tell the close proximity of all these events in our Bibles. We then trekked down to the Garden of Gethsemane, where a Roman Catholic church lay; Church of All Nations (as do many on important sites of our Lord). After this amazing visit we crossed into the Old City through the Lion's Gate. St. Anne, the mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary, had a chapel just inside on the right. Her chapel had more breath- taking sights on the inside, also being the oldest church in the city; built during the Crusades. The Pool of Bethesda was just outside her chapel. After this we started the stations of the cross inside the walls, we missed those outside. Whilst trekking through the Old City, amidst varying kiosks and the stations of what our Lord went through during His final 24 hours, we eventually found some grub.
Next was The Church of the Holy Sepulcher! :D The church was divided into the Russian Orthodox, Roman Catholic, and Greek Orthodox regions of the church. Seeing the slab where Jesus was said to have been nailed to the cross and where He was said to have been buried was absolutely moving. The Upper Room of the Last Supper was under construction BOO... Outside the high priest Caiaphas house, our last stop for today, was where Peter denied that he knew the Lord three times. There was a Roman Catholic Church on site that was quite a bit more modern than others in the city.
Now, seeing as it's about time for dinner... Adios Yall!
